Aerowash has announced that it will supply aircraft washing robots to British Airways’ operations at London Heathrow Airport, having received a positive award notice from International Airlines Group (IAG) following a tender process.

The next step is to sign a final delivery agreement, which is expected to take place within the next three weeks.

Aerowash robots are fully automated and clean most types of aircraft using a robotic micro-fiber brush drum, requiring minimal water.

The deal covers several washing robots and is planned to be implemented through a multi-year leasing agreement.

IAG is one of the world’s leading airline groups. The group also includes Iberia, Vueling, Aer Lingus and LEVEL.

Niklas Adler, CEO of Aerowash, said: “This is a real milestone for Aerowash. Being selected by one of the world’s leading airline groups is strong recognition of our technology and our organisation.

“This once again shows that Aerowash is a leading supplier within this niche segment.”
