Aviaco GSE has announced that it has signed a 14-year contract with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for the delivery of 14 electric TLD ABS580-E widebody staircases.

The units will support the handling of widebody aircraft including the Airbus A330, Boeing 777 and Boeing 787, contributing to the next generation of ground support operations.

They will be delivered to Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The airport aims to achieve emission-free operations by 2030, and is electrifying its GSE fleet as a result.

In a post, Aviaco stated that this agreement marks an important milestone, reflecting its continued commitment to delivering reliable, forward-looking GSE solutions through long-term partnerships built on trust, performance and collaboration.

Speaking on why Aviaco was selected by KLM, a company spokesperson said: “Aviaco is a provider of full-service rental of electric GSE in Europe, with some very competitive pricing. This is the best reason to work with Aviaco.”
