Leading European ground-handling provider Aviapartner is set to recruit more than 100 new staff across all divisions at its Brussels Airport hub, as the company prepares for a surge in summer air travel.

The recruitment drive comes on the back of new partnerships with major international carriers including Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways and Norwegian. These additions are expected to significantly boost operational volumes at Brussels Airport, where Aviapartner already provides handling services to over 40 airlines.

Founded in 1949 as Belgavia, Aviapartner has grown into one of Europe’s key aviation service providers. Operating in more than 70 airports across 10 countries, the company supports over 75 million passengers annually.

Wide Range of Roles on Offer

The Brussels recruitment campaign will target a variety of roles, including Check-in Agents, Tarmac Operators, and Baggage Operators.

Check-in Agents are often the most visible to passengers, handling boarding procedures and representing both Aviapartner and the airlines. “The job comes with a lot of responsibility,” said Karoline, a seasoned Check-in Agent. “Planes have to leave on time and do so safely. It’s not like a train—you can’t just close the doors and send it off.”

Behind the scenes, Baggage Operators ensure luggage and cargo are delivered to aircraft efficiently, while Tarmac Operators play a key role in ensuring smooth ground movements. “From Check-in Agent to Tarmac Operator, we are one team,” said Niels, a Tarmac Operator. “I still get goosebumps at the end of the day, knowing I played my part.”

Flexible Contracts, Year-Round Work

Aviapartner is offering a mix of immediate permanent roles and 65-day temporary contracts, which may be converted to permanent positions if successful.

Unlike many competitors, Aviapartner’s operations are less affected by seasonal fluctuations, providing employees with more stable, year-round employment.

Brussels remains Aviapartner Belgium’s largest and most important station, making it the focal point for this expansion.

With air travel demand continuing to rise, the company is positioning itself to meet growing operational needs while maintaining its reputation for safety, efficiency and customer service.
