Baltic Ground Services renews partnership with airBaltic

Baltic Ground Services (BGS) has announced that is has renewed its contract with airBaltic, in an extension set to last until the end of 2026.

BGS, which is is part of Avia Solutions Group, the largest provider of ACMI services in the world, will supply fuel to the Latvian airline’s aircraft at Palanga and Riga airports.

This development comes as part of airBaltic’s continued expansion of its operations as it strengthens its position in the Baltic region.

The two companies have successfully cooperated for over a decade, since they first signed a jet fuel supply agreement in 2015.

The contract renewal, which came into effect on 1st November, 2025, reinforces a trusted partnership based on the delivery of top-quality services, according to Vitalis Dūdys, BGS Group’s Head of Commerce.

“Throughout all these years of collaboration, airBaltic has had many opportunities to experience our professionalism and service quality firsthand,” he said.

“The continuation of this partnership is a great recognition for us. Our goal remains the same – to continuously improve and support airBaltic in achieving its ambitious goals.”

The agreement supports airBaltic’s operational planning and service quality across its network, including daily flights between Palanga and Riga.

In Riga, BGS will provide partial fueling services, dependant on the airline’s procurement results.

Passengers can access convenient connections to more than 80 destinations from the airport, which is the largest in the Baltics.
