Ekinetix, a consultancy and engineering firm providing expertise to companies who are focused on modern business models for sustainable energy, has been shortlisted for a SAFTA in the Project Partner Award category.
The award recognises its work on hydrogen projects at Royal Schiphol Group Airport.
As an end to end project partner, Ekinetix contributed to enabling the daily, operational use of hydrogen within a complex and highly regulated airport environment.
Its work included the implementation of hydrogen infrastructure, the world’s first hydrogen powered GPU (zepp.solutions & Dynell GmbH), a hydrogen aircraft tug (TLD & Ballard Power Systems), and a Toyota Hilux FCEV (Toyota Motor Europe & Louwman Group).
In a post on LinkedIn, the company stated: “We are grateful for this recognition, as these are essential first steps that airports can already take today to make zero emission aviation possible in the future.
“It also demonstrates that strong system integration, safety and pragmatic project delivery are crucial.
“We also want to thank Royal Schiphol Group, KES B.V., KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, KLM Cityhopper, Fraunhofer IML and SINTEF for the great collaboration within EU-supported TULIPS – Green Airports project.”
The SAFTAs will be presented during the Sustainable Aviation Futures Congress on 16 June.
