US-based PrimeFlight Aviation Services has chosen British company dBD Communications to supply wireless communication systems for ground and cargo handling operations across North America.
The partnership began with trials of dBD’s technology in de-icing operations, before expanding to cover pushback, towing and cargo handling.
David O’Connell, chief executive of dBD Communications, said: “Our wireless systems have a proven reputation internationally through adoption at key airport hubs, alongside bespoke support for defence aviation teams.
“We’re proud to bring that same level of safety, reliability and efficiency to PrimeFlight’s global operations.”
David LaFay, PrimeFlight’s senior director of operational excellence, added: “Working with dBD Communications gives our teams access to communication systems that are proven, reliable and built for the realities of ground handling.
“Extending this partnership across North America ensures consistency and confidence for our operations.”
At the heart of the deal is dBD’s Minerva platform, a wireless duplex system designed specifically for the high-pressure demands of aviation ground handling.
