SSP Group’s CEO departs leading to slide in shares

SSP Group, which operates food and drink concessions at airports around the globe, announced the leaving of its CEO, Kate Swann recently which led to the company’s shares sliding.

Shares at SSP Group fell by 9pc following Swann’s announced departure. Profits remained healthy however at a near 20pc rise for the year.

The departing chief executive stated that it is never easy to leave a business but is glad she is doing so with the business in good shape.

She will be replaced by Simon Smith who currently heads up the company’s UK and Ireland region.
