Talma marks a new milestone in its history with the start-up of Talma Specialized Centre (CET) in Bogota, an emblematic endeavour designed to strengthen operating efficiency and raise Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance standards.

With an investment of approximately USD 4 million, the CET covers 7,400 m² fitted out to provide specialized maintenance for equipment such as pushbacks, ground power units (GPUs), air start units (ASUs), ramp buses, conveyor belts and passenger stairs, making it one of the largest and most modern such centres in Latin America.

The infrastructure incorporates specific technical areas for the revision, diagnosis and integral maintenance of each type of equipment, together with energy backup systems and state-of-the-art pneumatic technology, which ensure operational continuity and maximize the efficiency of each process.

In addition, the centre includes administrative areas designed for collaborative work, continuous training and employee welfare, thus strengthening the culture of safety, quality and compliance that characterizes Talma.

Gonzalo Aristizábal, general manager of Talma Colombia says: “The development, implementation and commissioning of the CET represents a key advance in our regional growth strategy.

“This infrastructure allows us to increase Talma Colombia’s technical and operational capacity, strengthen the reliability of our services and respond more efficiently to the demands of the airport sector.

“With the CET, we reaffirm our commitment to leading our sector’s transformation in the country and actively contributing to the logistics development of the region”.
