JBT has announced the upcoming retirement of Brent Ahlstrom, President of Airport Services. Brent had recently expressed his desire to retire in the 2nd Quarter of 2021.
Ahlstrom started with Jetway Systems in 1987 as a Cost Accounting Manager, later picking up additional responsibilities to that role. In 2000, he was part of the initial Airport Services Business Unit start-up team, serving as Controller and Director of Administrative Services. Two years later he became Director of Operations until 2009 when he became General Manager. Under Brent’s leadership from 2009 to 2019 Airport Services’ annual sales more than doubled and employment grew from less than 600 to over 1,000. During that period Brent was promoted to VP/GM and later President, Airport Services.
Brent has led the growth of Airport Services with great dedication and a real passion for our “One JBT” values of Integrity, Accountability, Relentless Improvement, Teamwork and Customer First.
With Brent’s planned retirement, JBT has announced the appointment of Frank Moore, Jetway Systems VP Gate Equipment to President, Airport Services effective March 1. Frank is uniquely qualified to fill this position as he has gained the respect and appreciation of many of our major Airport and Airline customers, while leading the growth of our Gate Equipment business to record sales and earnings. Frank also “walks the talk” when it comes to living our One JBT core values.
Frank joined Jetway in 2000 as Spare Parts Manager. During the next several years he gained increasing responsibility in the Aftermarket and Marketing areas and in 2010 became Global Business Manager-Aftermarket. In 2014 Frank became the Global Business Manager for Gate Equipment and later Vice President, Gate Equipment. Frank holds BA and MBA degrees from the University of Utah.
After March 1, Brent will continue to provide transition support to Frank and the entire Airport Services team until his retirement in May. Brian DeRoche and the Jetway team will be working on the transition of Frank’s responsibilities during this period as well.
