An accident on the ramp of Manchester Airport has seen one apron worker airlifted to hospital with limb injuries.

The North West Air Ambulance was called to the scene on the apron following a collision between the tug and another vehicle.

According to those present at the airport at the time of the crash, it happened close to Terminal 1.

The Manchester Evening news stated that eyewitnesses recalled the injuries to the worker as ‘horrific’ and they had to be cut free from the wreckage of the involved vehicle.
